Position has no set schedule. Hours are based on the need for a Facilities Use Monitor, with willingness to work evenings and/or weekends.

Rate of Pay: $21.00 per hour

 

REQUIREMENTS:         

  • Must have valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
  • Must successfully pass the Washington State Patrol Fingerprint check.
  • High School Diploma, GED
  • Must meet current Washington State mandates concerning COVID-19 as directed by the Governor of the State of Washington and/or Regional Health Director: Masks are required along with proof of COVID-19 vaccination, or request and approval of religious or medical accommodation.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Acts as liaison between community members, Community Education Staff, and the Maintenance & Facilities Office.  Ensures that facilities are unlocked, usage monitored and secured for after hours and weekend usage.  Provides own transportation, if needed, to travel from site to site within Ridgefield School District. Assists instructors and participants with registrations and equipment as needed.  Interacts positively in working with the public, as position has public relations impact, which reflects on Ridgefield School District.

 

DUTIES:

  • Read and follow schedule posted for groups using facilities.
  • Politely greet instructors, students, and community members.
  • Open and close (unlock and lock) only those school district facilities (gyms, classrooms, commons, etc.) approved for groups as scheduled.
  • Secure facilities when not in use and at end of scheduled use.
  • Monitor activities of groups to maintain security/safety of facilities.
  • Note and report any misuse of facilities and facilities damage to supervisor.
  • Note and report to supervisor if any group listed on schedule is a “no-show”.
  • Collect fees and receipt monies from groups when requested by supervisor.
  • Read and follow school district regulations, rules, and applicable laws including but not limited to drugs/alcohol, tobacco, and weapons restrictions on school property.
  • Represent Ridgefield School District and Ridgefield Community Education in a positive manner
  • Notify appropriate authority immediately in the event of any incident occurring on school premises.
  • Perform related duties as required.

  • Ability to handle confidential matters appropriately and effectively.
  • Must be flexible, take initiative, cooperate and behave honestly.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under the conditions of a strict time schedule.
  • Neat, clean personal appearance; dress should be appropriate to promote a professional and safe work environment.
  • Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
  • Consistent, reliable attendance according to established work schedule is required.
