MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE

5 days per week (M-F), 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Location: South Ridge Elementary and Union Ridge Elementary

Start date: 03/08/2021

 

JOB GOAL:  Provide supervision of students in grades K-4 during their non-school hours. Supervise lunchtime, recesses, arts/craft, etc. Supervise students as they complete their independent school work for a small portion of the day.

 

DUTIES:  May include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise children in designated areas to ensure a safe and orderly environment in accordance with District rules and regulations.
  • Supervise students in designated locations, both indoors and outdoors, to ensure a safe and orderly environment in accordance with District and school rules and regulations.
  • Supervise students drop off and pick-up on bus transportation and/or by parent/guardian.
  • Adhere to standards of confidentiality in regard to students.
  • Notify appropriate authority immediately in the event of any incident occurring on school premises.
  • Perform physical tasks, including long periods of sitting, standing, stooping, and repeated lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability and willingness to follow health and safety protocols as they relate to COVID-19, in compliance with federal, state, and local public health agencies.
  • Ability to carry out the policies and procedures of the school relative to student safety and behavior management.
  • Ability to communicate and carry out District rules, regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults.
  • Ability to problem-solve as needed.
  • Possess competent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with others as part of a team and maintain a positive, cheerful and friendly attitude.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with students, parents, staff and the general public.
  • Ability to accurately read, write and perform basic computer program functions.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to be highly self-directed.
  • Ability to supervise and assist students with computer programs.
  • Ability to lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Consistent, reliable attendance according to established work schedule is required.

 

 

EDUCATION:

Minimum educational requirement is a High School Diploma or GED.

 

 

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Complete required SafeSchools trainings as provided by the District
  • Criminal history clearance through Washington State Patrol and FBI. Fingerprinting cost is the responsibility of the employee.
  • Must wear a face mask.

 

EXPERIENCE:  

  • Prior experience with small or large groups of children preferred.
